Crock-pot Chronicles: Ravioli Crock-pot meal with a Twist!

A good friend of mine named Seth, had a crock-pot his mother didn’t use. The moment he asked me if I wanted it I was like “UM, YEAH!” I was way too excited due to my obsession with Pinterest.

There are so many possibilities with using a crock-pot and it’s so easy. All you have to do is dump whatever you’re cooking, plug it up and let it do it’s thing! Letting the food slow cook and simmer gives it that much more flavor which you don’t really get from using a regular pot on the stove.

I was skimming through my fridge and freezer trying to come up with a way to use my new gift and then I found a huge bag of ravioli I bought a week ago. Totally forgot about it. That was the perfect opportunity because I just recently purchased turkey meatballs! So I gathered all the ingredients I wanted to use for my concoction and it turned out to be even more amazing than I thought.

-Turkey Meatballs

-Tomato Sauce

-Low-fat ricotta cheese

-Low-fat shredded cheese

-Grated Parmesan

STEP ONE: I added the ravioli, cherry tomatoes, garlic, kale, meatballs, spinach and peppers all in the pot after adding about an inch of water.

STEP TWO: I added Tomato Sauce, about 1/3 of a cup in the center.

STEP THREE: I then added two tablespoons of low-fat ricotta cheese.

STEP FOUR:  I added 1/4 of a cup of non-dairy heavy cream. I then plugged it up and put it on High.

STEP FIVE: I added low-fat shredded cheese. Doesn’t matter what kind. Cheese is bae. πŸ˜€

STEP SIX: I waited about 45 minutes and tossed it around, put the lid back on and derped around for about 4 hours. It was right on time for dinner!

This was the final result! It was fantastic! Full of flavor and lasted us two days! I hope you try something similar. It was so good and easy to make. I’m going to be doing a bunch of meals with the crock-pot hence the name Crock Pot Chronicles. I know I’m so cool πŸ˜€
