So I always talk about how I’m going to eat clean and lose weight…blah blah blah. HOWEVER, I do shop for healthy foods to force me to eat well. I do eat well….but my cheat meals turn into cheat days….then cheat weeks…lol. I kept craving burgers so I was like hmm…how can I have a burger that is healthy? Yeah, turkey burgers are better, don’t use salt, etc but carbs are an issue too. Then I realized I could just make a bun out of cauliflower rice! I see it on Facebook all the time. People use cauliflower rice as a replacement for grains and carbs all the time so what I did was start experimenting 😀
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
-Cauliflower rice (I purchased mine from Trader Joe’s)
-Bread crumbs ( I used gluten free Bread crumbs from the 4c brand)
-1 Egg (That is good for 2 buns. About 5 inches in Diameter)
-Seasoning of choice ( I used a salt-free seasoning)
-Garlic powder (optional)
-A tray for the oven
-Coconut oil cooking spray
STEP ONE: Pre-heat the oven to 350 degrees. Add an egg, about 1/4 cup of bread crumbs, a teaspoon of garlic powder and a teaspoon of your favorite seasoning to a bowl.
STEP TWO: Spray your coconut oil spray onto your baking tray. Mix the ingredients together.
STEP THREE: Take some of the mixture and make a pancake shape out of them (2 for one serving) and place it on your baking tray.
STEP FOUR: Place the tray in the oven and let it bake until golden brown. It should look like picture “4”.
Add all the goods and you’re all set!
It was incredible!
